I had the most wonderful evening being surrounded by these two with their love and laughter. I also have to say, they have one awesome story of how they met. You could say Aimee is thankful that their family toilet needed some TLC.

Scott is the plumber they hired and he visited on multiple occasions. He will say Aimee’s grandma was basically hitting on him and then clarifying “not for me – for my granddaughter.” (I’m actually starting to wonder if things were intentionally breaking). Next, one of my favourite things. Aimee’s aunt Facebook-stalked Scott to see if he was single and insisted that Aimee message him. She eventually caved and sent him a message – as random as it seemed – and they set up a date and things took off from there. I am so excited for their outdoor wedding this July!

Here we have the first engagement session of the season with Ann and Marshall. I kinda love the little story these two have. Marshall was visiting a friend in Calgary and met Ann through mutual friends while snowboarding there. When they all went out to eat, he was expecting her to order something like salad, but she ordered a huge plate of poutine, and right then he knew that was the girl for him. Last July, they went on a trip to Seattle where Ann was a little bit suspicious that he was going to ask. Throughout the day, he intentionally psyched her out asking if she’d like to go for a walk on the beach that night. Then he surprised her by proposing earlier with a plate of poutine with a ring on top (there may have been a comment about some missing gravy before noticing the ring)!

We kicked off their shoot in BC style with wind, hail, rain and sun. Hard to believe it was pouring for those shots under the wooden railroad, no?! Can’t wait for your wedding in a few weeks!

So we met in the fall and chose some nearby spots by the river in Chilliwack where Ryan enjoys fishing. In my prior location scouting, I learned that where there are plentiful fish, there are also bears. So if anyone would like to use bears as props, I now know where we can find them ;) I loved that they brought along their new addition, Australian Shepherd puppy, Sadie. I’m such a cat person, but I have to say she is one beautiful dog! She was so sweet and cooperative.. I’m pretty sure we could include her in the wedding. I can’t wait for June!
