I knew their wedding would be a delight to photograph, since their engagement session was one of my favourites to date. They took me to their secret river (and cave) location where Jesse proposed. It felt like one of those shoots I had visually stirring in my head for a while and I was finally able to see it come to life.
Jesse and Paige. Or should I say PB&J? I loved that they used this as their hashtag, since Paige’s middle name is Brittany. They even gave out jam as their favours. I have to say they are one talented duo for DIY projects. Jesse built the beautiful wooden backdrop that they used for their ceremony and reception. They also made their own table numbers and Jesse cut all the wooden rounds for the centrepieces and dessert table. Of course the disadvantage to being married to such a carpenter is Paige must showcase some of his work in the living room that she would rather not… *cough* huge wooden mallets *cough*. ;) They even took a photo for you, Jesse :) Paige also made their own bouquets from baby’s breath and pinecones and I LOVED them.
This day also included shooting at TWO barns. I was pretty excited to find out their suite was attached to a horse barn where Paige’s beloved horse, “Tiny” resides. Paige previously shared with me how special he is to her and so I was touched we could get photos with them together and he even photobombed some photos of her dress ;) Their ceremony was at New Life Church and then we stopped at Lepp Farm Market for lunch and said hi to Paige’s past coworkers. They were so kind to lend the bridal party aprons! Then we were on our way to a friend’s barn in Mission for their photos before heading to Jubilee Hall. I’ll leave you with the photos…
