WHAT TO EXPECT
My Philosophy
I know your days are busy, I understand getting your photo taken may not be your favourite thing and I get that family photos can be overwhelming. And so I’m here to help with outfit ideas, location planning and a fun, relaxed shooting approach so we can do what’s most important – create meaningful photos for your family.
I want to make sure you have more than snapshots of your little ones on your phone. Imagine yourselves on a rainy Sunday afternoon, snuggled on the couch together, flipping through your family photos in an album that takes you back to those moments. You have photos that not only show you how quickly they’ve grown, but how you felt at that time. This is how I want you to enjoy your photos. Off your screens and into your home and hands.

HOW DO WE BOOK A SESSION?
To book your family session, I simply need a signed contract with a $150 session fee. All session fees are non-refundable but can be transferred to another date. You can read more about how I price family sessions here.
WHAT WILL OUR SESSION BE LIKE?
Your session will be filled with laughter, lots of cuddles and play. I will direct you with fun prompts so we can get those natural, candid images that really showcase your family’s personality and love. We will also do a handful of those look-at-the-camera shots with relaxed posing. But really, I want the focus to be on your connection.
WHERE WILL OUR SESSION BE HELD?
Sessions typically take place outdoors at one of the locations I have scouted in and around Winnipeg. After you book me and answer some questions I will offer suggestions based on what fits your family vibe.
WHAT SHOULD WE WEAR?
Once you’re booked, I’ll send you a guide for wardrobe and a bunch of my best tips to help you prepare. Please do check out my Pinterest boards for inspiration too. You are welcome to send me photos of your outfits so I can offer suggestions!
WHAT IF MY KIDS DON'T COOPERATE?
This is for me to worry about, not you. Remember, this will not be your traditional ‘sit-still-and-cheese’ photoshoot. I will engage the little ones with playful prompts and capture your interactions. If they are full of energy, I’ll give them prompts that use movement like dancing and running or perhaps a surprise tickle attack from you. Lastly, I have buckets of patience and my camera is impeccably fast!
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO SCHEDULE MY MATERNITY SESSION?
Every pregnancy is different, but usually maternity sessions are scheduled between 30-34 weeks (earlier if you’re having multiples). We want to strike the right balance of showing a nice bump while still feeling comfortable!
