I’m delighted to share Jenilee and Darwyn’s wedding day and my first wedding photographed here in Manitoba! My husband and I moved to Winnipeg this Winter – yeah, who does that?! Hailing from Abbotsford, I feel right at home at a farm wedding. Although the 42C heat and gusty winds in the wheat fields of the prairies were certainly a new experience!
Jenilee and Darwyn did their first look outside his home and we took photos around his fields before heading just 5 miles down the road to Jenilee’s family century farm. Her great-grandfather started the yard and she lived there her whole life with a dream of an outdoor wedding. Their reception was highlighted by a hilarious country ensemble by the groomsmen that had everyone laughing in tears, brilliant games like Apples to Apples and the Newlywed Game (which I haven’t seen at a wedding yet), a thunderstorm during the speeches and a good amount of Mennonite jokes (and Plautdietsch)!
